TO : THE CLERGY, RELIGIOUS AND LAY FAITHFUL OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF LIPA
RE : DECREE ON THE THREE-YEAR PREPARATION FOR THE GOLDEN JUBILEE OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF LIPA
On 20 June 1972, Pope Paul VI elevated the Diocese of Lipa to an Archdiocese with the Bull “Qui summi Numinis”. That being so, three years from now, in 2022, the local Church of Lipa will celebrate the 50thanniversary of its becoming an archdiocese. As we launch the Year of the Youth, we also begin the three-year preparation for the Golden Jubilee. In our archdiocese, 2019 will be the Year of Hope; 2020 will be the Year of Faith; and 2021 will be the Year of Charity.
For your guidance, I am sending to Your Reverences the Decree on the Three-Year Preparation for the Golden Jubilee of the Archdiocese of Lipa. Attached also is the official logo of the aforementioned jubilee.
Through the maternal intercession of Our Lady of Caysasay, may our three-year preparation help us grow and mature in faith, take pride in and share the faith that we have received.
